Parliamentary Charity Regatta
The UK Parliament’s annual charity regatta takes place in front of the House of Lords to raise money for charity.
Featuring a children’s Her Majesty’s Royal Barge Gloriana, a flotilla of children, a series of races on the water featuring children, men, women and culminating in the annual Parliamentary Boat Race between the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
As part of the celebrations, a reception takes place on the House of Lords Terrace and includes medals, cup and charitable cheque presentations, as well as an adaptive rowing display for those who cannot take to the water.
The event has featured on BBC2 and BBC4 as well as in large-circulation media online and in print.
